The Lomax Sisters will be featured guests for our benefit concert on Sunday, September 23 at 3:00 PM.  Come join us at Washington Brazilian Seventh Day Adventist Church (Lakeland School Site) at 8108 54th Avenue, College Park, Maryland for an easy afternoon out to benefit Lakeland Community Heritage Project. Also performing that afternoon will be United Praise, J’Nyah Malone, Eleanor Francine Traynham , Angie Taylor-Bass and Abigail Cohen.

The Lomax Sisters are celebrating their 50th year singing together. They started off as young girls in their home church, Queens Chapel United Methodist Church in the Murikirk community of Beltsville.  Their gifts have taken them to recording studios and the Kennedy Center stage.

J’Nyah Malone is reigning International Junior Miss Maryland Junior Teen. She is the granddaughter of  Janet Randall Gillens and great granddaughter of Mrs. Agnes Randall.

Eleanor Francine Traynham has been singing since the tender age of 3 when her Father James (Curtis) Thomas started her off singing at North Brentwood AME Church. Eighty years later she is still going strong.  

Angie Bass  a Lakeland resident and a Seniors on Stage Vocal Showcase winner. She has performed in a variety of venues including numerous churches and community centers.

Abigail Cohen is a member of the Chosen Generation Choir of Embry AME Church in Lakeland. Currently she is in her senior year as a vocal music student at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.
