This Saturday, September 22 is the Great Lakeland Parade and Picnic. Our parade will feature the Marching Band of Fairmont Heights High School. Stepping of from College Park Community Center at noon the parade will continue on Pierce Avenue take 54th Avenue then travel along Lakeland Road. It will then pass Lakeland Park on Rhode Island Avenue and conclude back at College Park Community Center.

The center of activity on Saturday will be Lakeland Park at the corner of Lakeland Road and Rhode Island Avenue. Not only will that be the site of the parade viewing stand but you will also find great food for sale and live music. Lakeland’s own Chang Band will play. Our vendor will have chicken boxes, hamburgers and hot dogs for purchase.  Buy your meal or bring one along with you. The parade starts at noon. Just come on out, make yourself at home and enjoy.
