The activities will begin with an Xtreme Teens 70s night at the College Park Community Center on Friday evening, September 14 at 7 PM. Teens should reserve their ticket by calling 301-441-2647.
Saturday, September 15, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Events will continue at the community center on Saturday with the Lakeland Heritage Archive Open House from 9 AM to 5 PM. Lakeland community residents and former resi-dents are invited to see parts of the archive and bring their photographs to add. Volunteers will be on-hand to scan and document your submissions. Help us identify and date our historic photographs! Anyone is also welcome to add your oral history to the archive by requesting an appointment by email to Lakelandhistory@yahoo.com.
The Lakeland Hoops Basketball Games will end the day with the Lakeland All Stars Nine and Under team will play a local team and big event will match the Lakeland All Star Teen against Lake-land’s Old School team. Tip off will be at 6:30.

Lakeland Heritage Weekend 2012 will end on Sunday with a Community Worship Service and picnic. The service will be under the tent at Lakeland Park on Rhode Island Avenue. Music for the day will be provided by a volunteer Heritage Choir. At 1:30, on Sunday the Heritage Weekend will end with a community picnic. Bring your own family meal or enjoy the light snack provided by LCHP.
