For many years Fairmont Height High School served Lakeland residents. In honor of that legacy the Fairmont Heights High School Marching Band will be our special guests at the Great Lakeland Parade on Saturday, September 15, 22 2018. Event Postponed due to expected bad weather.
Stepping off at noon from College Park Community Center the route will continue along Pierce Avenue passing the viewing stand at Lakeland Park. Be there to witness the parade or be in the parade. Come march or ride your special vehicle as part of an organization, group, family or as an individual. Just call Mr. Randall at 301-655-9153 to let us know you are coming.
With the Parade Day Craft Workshop you can get ready and be in the Great Lakeland Parade on Saturday. September 15, 22, 2018. Register HERE for a casual, hands on crafting time from 8 am to 11:30 and be in the parade stepping off at noon. Help will be provided by representatives of the College Park Arts Exchange. Ages 3 and up are welcome but children under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You can bring along your bicycle, wagon to decorate for use in the parade. The place is College Park Community Center. 5051 Pierce Avenue, College Park, MD 20740. Remember the parade starts at noon.
