During this year’s Heritage celebration a trolley car will once again be seen in Lakeland. First the trolley car will be a part of the parade at noon, carrying special, honored guests. After the parade you will have your chance to ride. You can get your place on the trolley for a Lakeland Heritage Tour. The trolley will depart at 1 PM on September 18 during the Heritage celebration from the College Park Community Center on Pierce Street. Aboard you will explore Lakeland from today’s community center the lake and back again.  Your conductor will tell you stories of the Lakeland families, developer Edwin Newman, the burning of Lakeland, the Baltimore Goldfish Company, the train wreck that killed the lake, Tropical Storm Agnes and more.  To reserve your seat on board call (301) 474- 7080.  Seating is very limited so call today.
